The Seton Catholic Preparatory Athletic Department gives students an opportunity to participate in championship-quality sports. When the school wanted to enhance the overall morale of the team, strengthen the team spirit and brand the baseball facility all at the same time, its administrator contacted our graphic artists for assistance.

After consulting with the client, we designed, manufactured and installed 13oz banners. They feature stitched hems and grommets, and display the famous red and yellow colors of the Sentinels, which promotes the Seton Catholic brand and its baseball program. We also placed logos on the dugout areas. They consist of full-color laminated prints on a vinyl substrate. Our technicians applied the material to the wall with a heat treatment, which makes the prints look as though we had painted them onto the blocks. The combination of the banners and graphics creates a nice environment that inspires players and fans alike.

Stadium Banners for Schools in Chandler, AZ

In the case of the baseball program, the school commissioned the banners to increase the attractive nature of the visuals and support the team spirit. There is no doubt that the plan was successful. Of course, there are plenty of other reasons to add banners to your school’s stadium.

  • Sponsorships. When members of the local business community donate time, money or resources to your team, your school might honor them with banners. Display the company’s name and logo, a brief statement of the support given, and a presentation of your team’s mascot and name. Although the latter should be standing out the most, consider using the company’s colors when ordering your banners.
  • Fundraisers. If your sports team regularly hosts fundraisers, display banners that inform visitors about the upcoming events. Doing so boosts attendance and participation. It also gives a shout-out to businesses that help facilitate these fundraising events.
  • Team introductions. Are you adding another team to this year’s lineup? If you have never had sufficient participation to start another team or introduce another sport, advertise it among athletes and families. Doing so may help you fill vacant spots and encourage parent participation via booster associations.

Beautifying a Stadium Does Not Have to be Expensive

It is a common misconception that replacing old, dilapidated wood boards or other signage that is well past its prime has to be an expensive undertaking. In fact, the opposite is usually the case. For example, if you have an older box cabinet sign, it is entirely possible to refurbish it with little more than a coat of paint and a couple of upgraded vinyl overlays for the facings. Doing so greatly freshens the appearance of your setting.

Even for those times when a replacement is the only way to go, there are now plenty of money-saving materials on the market. They quickly turn your dugout, bench or goal area from drab to fab. Examples include vinyl wall graphics and wraps, acrylic boards with vinyl overlays, outdoor-rated foam and similar budget-friendly products.
