Our team has worked with the friendly folks at Someburros for about a decade. We assisted the client with Kia Soul vehicle wraps, van wraps, a rebranding, and building as well as drive-thru signs for its expansions. When the client contacted us recently, they needed a sign refresh at the 3461 West Frye Road location. A part of the project was a reverse pan channel building sign for the location.
What is a Sign Refresh?
Several tasks might fall under the heading of a sign refresh. For example, if a building or monument sign has weathered and no longer looks new, the refresh could include new fronts and a coat of paint for any cabinets. Sometimes, a client decides that it is time to retrofit their lighting. Usually, this means switching out the interior workings of a sign to adapt to LED technology. However, adding signs to an existing sign package may also count as a refresh of the overall signage setup.
Someburros Adds Customer-Facing Signage
For this project, we installed a new drive-thru sign and Nacho logo over the entrance. As with the other facade sign, the drive-thru marker consisted of a reverse pan channel building sign. It makes it easier for guests to find the food pickup if they do not have time to enjoy a sit down meal at the location. We followed the color palette to allow the sign to blend in with the existing products on the facade. The new signage looks great, guides guests, and fits perfectly with the installed signs.
Why is Restaurant Signage So Important?
Why did Someburros invest in a sign to signal the location of its drive-thru? After all, the eatery already had an exterior menu board in place. What was the big deal about adding the logo? In fact, restaurants are in the unique position of branding and marketing with little more than an added sign.
The logo is critical for the company. It represents its brand and guides guests who might not remember the restaurant’s name but do recognize the logo. Adding a drive-thru sign is a clever move to advertise the availability of a quick pickup from across the parking lot. While the menu board is clearly visible to customers close to the location, the new facade-mounted sign creates secondary advertising that addresses hungry guests much farther away.
