We have done a lot of work for Zippity Split Plumbing ever since the company went into business. Examples include contractor van wraps for the Chandler location, as well as a pickup truck and utility trailer fleet graphics. Because the client’s business has grown significantly over the last couple of years, it has expanded to Tempe. The management team contacted us to handle the project of putting together a new branch signage checklist, producing the products, and installing them.
Promoting a New Branch with Brand-Centric Signs
Opening a new branch is a huge undertaking. You have done so well in your current service territory that you are ready to expand it. However, just as is the case with the original business opening, having the right types of signs for the space is a critical promotion strategy. Remember, even though you have already built your brand and advertised your service or product in one area, you still have to start from scratch at the new location.
Zippity Split Plumbing’s New Branch Signage Checklist
We met with our client to determine the must-have signs that would allow the company to hit the ground running. At that time, we decided that a five-component sign package was essential.
- Building sign. It is interesting to note that there was an existing panel on the front of the building. We used it to put the company’s brand on the facade. Zippity Split’s purple and black color palette contrasts nicely with the white backdrop.
- Vinyl window letters. The facade consists of multiple floor-to-ceiling glass panels and a glass door. For the door, we added vinyl graphics that repeat the corporate persona and highlight the company’s phone number and a website address.
- Lobby sign. For the inside, we put together a lobby sign made of half-inch-thick Gatorfoam finished with brushed metal facings. After flush-mounting the elements to the wall, the sign gives the illusion of being made entirely of the much more expensive metal. Our technicians kept the letters’ sides black to create an even more impressive contrast that makes the silver finish pop against the purple wall color.
- Wall art. Instead of traditional wall art, our shop printed a service area map on the back of an acrylic panel. Mounted with brushed aluminum standoffs to the wall, it looks chic, covers a little more than half the wall, and is the ideal focal point for the conference room.
- Door wrap. We designed a wrap that features the corporate persona, color palette, and a saying that underscores the brand message for an interior door. It is an excellent way of tying together the different elements of this brand-focused setup.
