When Avenue Consultants contacted our team, they had recently moved into a new office space in Phoenix. The client requested the design, fabrication, and installation of a custom acrylic dimensional lobby sign that would focus attention immediately on the firm’s corporate persona.

Creating a 3D Lobby Sign That Gets Attention

We began the project by selecting the size for an acrylic board. It would tie the room together and provide the spacing for the individual style elements. Next, we cut out the company’s name using the remainder of the acrylic. With the font programmed into the computer, our precision cutting tool manufactured the ideal size.

The next step was to paint the style elements in the corporate colors and affix them to the board. Notice the ideal spacing of the pieces. The final step was the installation. Our technicians used brushed aluminum standoffs. The finished product creates a visual powerhouse. The panel reminds of glass. The 3D letters on top heighten the dimensional interest. Finally, the standoffs allow for the casting of shadows behind the sign, which gets attention.

Avenue Consultants now greets its visitors with a sign that demands immediate attention.

Acrylic Panel Lobby Signs are Popular Options

Did you know that acrylic panels are quite popular for companies needing lobby signs in Phoenix and beyond? Because the reception area signage is the first product noticed by visiting customers, the product must create a brand-centric statement, setting the tone for the interactions the business offers. We have several examples to show what this looks like.

  • A minimalist design for an industrial brand. This product relies on installing printed vinyl on a polished acrylic panel. Our technicians mounted it with polished aluminum standoffs, which heightens the brad-centric display of the product. It is an excellent choice for an industrial client such as a contractor, distribution center, or warehouse.
  • Mixed media sign for the lobby. Another choice is using an acrylic panel with three-dimensional letters using different materials. Examples include metal, PVC, or Gatorfoam. The foam has the added advantage of allowing for increased depths of up to three inches. Brushed aluminum standoffs are a nice finishing touch.
  • Focus on the glass-like quality of the material. Adding letters or imprinted vinyl to the front of the acrylic panel creates an interruption of the glossy finish. However, when we mount the details to the back of the board, nothing mars the glass-like finish of the panel’s front.

Is an Acrylic Dimensional Lobby Sign the Best Option for Your Office?

For most clients, the acrylic panel is a good choice. Our technicians adjust the sizing with your space in mind. However, you do not have to commit to a panel if you like the idea of featuring your corporate persona with three-dimensional letters. We routinely design products that do not require panels but let us mount the letters directly flush to the wall. It is an excellent way of impressing visitors and customers with the good looks of your company’s name.
