The Town of Gilbert had another project for our team. It wanted to honor its council members with a legacy wall naming everyone who held office. You may remember that we had previously worked with the Town on a precision-tooled bronze plaque for the mayor’s office’s main chamber. Back then, our graphic artist assisted the client with additional three-dimensional, black letters made from acrylic to spell out the town’s name.
We took inspiration from this project and proposed using black vinyl panels as backdrops and adding 162 names, dates, and titles with white vinyl. We then added black dimensional lettering as a title for the display. It matches the font we previously used in the mayor’s office. Notice also that we left space and added an additional panel to which the town can add names for years to come. These elegant panels present a glossy, clear acrylic surface that heightens the beauty of the display.
Legacy and Memorial Displays are Beautiful Tributes That Educate and Honor
Remembering those who spent time and effort serving the public or an organization is a popular way of honoring people who have had a significant impact. If you have been considering this type of project for your location, you have a broad range of options.
Bronze plaques are a wonderful choice when you want to honor individuals. We have done these plaques for St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School to honor Fr. Joseph Haley. This cast bronze plaque includes 3D lettering and an image of Fr. Haley. This is a long-term display that is mounted outside the building and will last for decades to come.
Another form of display is the corporate timeline. An excellent presentation is a custom-printed wallpaper featuring a collage of past images from the business. Use lettering and numerals—using acrylic or other materials for three-dimensional displays—to help visitors understand why specific photos have a lot of meaning for your company.
If you want to draw more attention to the programs your staff members make possible, we recommend displaying a vibrant wall mural. It combines the great looks of a word wall with the brand-centric use of your location’s color palette and logo. This is a powerful combination that gets the attention of passersby. And, when you add subliminal images to the backdrop, folks will stop in front of the display because there is always something new to discover.
