Not long ago, we worked with King Koil on a mattress showroom signage overhaul. At that time, we focused on a lobby sign, conference room signage, and showroom murals. By adopting a multi-pronged approach to branding, the client succeeds in telling the brand story effectively. When the client contacted us this time, they needed corporate building signs in Avondale, AZ.
Reverse Pan Channel Letters Bring Sophistication to a Façade
We worked with the client on incorporating the new logo the team wanted to see. Our technicians then manufactured the components of the new product. Our shop routinely uses high-quality aluminum that we paint in the client’s specified color. This process is integral for effective branding.
We then installed LEDs for the illumination after dark. Next, we went on-site and removed the old sign. Installers were now able to mount the letters with standoffs to create the halo effect. Besides that, we wired the lettering for power, which was challenging since the area behind the sign only allowed for limited access.
Different Types of Channel Letters
Halo illumination is becoming more popular. It can boost brand recognition while simultaneously infusing the display with sophistication. Because this classy presentation allows the light to escape through the backs of the letters, we have to use standoffs. We can manipulate the halo’s display itself by increasing or decreasing the space between the wall and the letters.
Of course, reverse-lit channel letters are not your only option. Still, the most popular presentation is the front-lit approach. In this scenario, the light escapes through the fronts of the letters. Instead of a halo after dark, you see a bold display of your brand colors. It acts as a beacon. Once again, we use LEDs for illumination.
The use of neon is the road less traveled. In fact, we rarely get requests for it. When we do, it is typically used for an open-face design. The name is a little misleading. Rather, you are dealing with the body of a channel letter that we close in front with a see-through sheet of polycarbonate. Because people can see through it and notice the neon bulbs, we call it an open-face setup. It is a good option for an old-style diner sign or unique brand presentation.
Interior Office Sign for Branding!
We also added a custom-designed lobby sign to match their corporate branding. When possible it’s best to match all your signage to a theme, your logo or by using corporate colors.
Our sign shop routinely works with clients who need highly visible, brand-focused signage for their buildings. Although channel letters are among the most requested signage solutions, they are not the only options that are open to you.
Another good choice is the installation of dimensional letters. They can look a lot like channel letters, but they open the door to additional material choices. Examples include metal, acrylic, and outdoor-rated sign foam. As long as you do not need self-illuminating signage on your façade, dimensional letters deliver the variety many clients are looking for.
Another illuminated choice is the lightbox cabinet. Traditionally, it is a rectangle that features your corporate information on the front. We can imprint an acrylic sheet with the details or add a vinyl overlay. However, you do not have to settle for the rectangle if this will not work for you. If you want to boost brand recognition, we can shape it in the form of your logo or another image.
