We recently worked with a new client, Carling Physical Therapy, on designing, fabricating, and installing non-illuminated flat-cut aluminum letters in Gilbert, AZ. What went into the client’s decision to opt for metallic rather than plastic or acrylic lettering?
Flat-Cut Metal Letters are Budget-Friendly
Picking non-illuminated, flat-cut aluminum letters for a building sign is smart. For starters, it is a budget-friendly investment with lower upfront costs compared to illuminated or three-dimensional signage. These signs do not need electrical work, lighting components, or ongoing energy expenses.
Most importantly, aluminum is corrosion and weather-resistant, so it is long-lasting regardless of whether we install it in full sun or not. It is interesting to note that aluminum is an excellent material for outdoor use in various climates.
Present a Sleek, Contemporary Appearance to Customers and Patients
When Carling Physical Therapy relocated to its new location and needed a sign to put above the entrance, flat-cut aluminum letters provided the clean, professional look the client was looking for. When you look at the photos, you notice that the building letters perfectly complement the facade’s window design.
While we added a matte finish for this project, remember that your letters can also be brushed, polished, or painted to suit branding needs. Yet, no matter which finish you decide on, aluminum is a low-maintenance material. And, without lighting components, there is little that may require repairs in the future. Occasional cleaning is typically all the maintenance you need.
Custom Aluminum Letters Signs are Suitable for all Types of Facades
Flat-cut aluminum is lightweight. It is, therefore, suitable even for facades where heavier materials would not be good options. Depending on the letter size and facade makeup, we can install the pieces with studs or adhesive. Unsurprisingly, you find aluminum building letters on brick, concrete, or stucco facades.
A Contemporary Material for Today’s Signage Needs
The non-illuminated flat-cut aluminum letters we installed in Gilbert are also considered the right material for today’s preferences. For example, aluminum is recyclable, and non-illuminated signs consume no electricity. If you move at some point in the future, your building letters can be recycled. Most importantly, non-illuminated signs are typically required in areas with strict sign codes for historic districts. It is fair to say that you cannot go wrong with aluminum signage.
