The direct marketing company, Tele King is a repeat customer. Earlier, our sign shop designed, produced, and installed a mixed media lobby sign for the business in Chandler. When the company needed signage at its Gilbert branch, the management team reached out to our shop again. This time the firm required a custom lobby sign and illuminated building letters in Gilbert, AZ.
Signage Suites Sets the Tone for Contemporary Direct Marketing Company
The signage products we put together for the 1528 East Williams Field Road location began with the lobby product. It consists of a brushed silver backer panel. Our technicians then produced an acrylic sheet to which be added vinyl lettering. Look closely, and you notice that the clear acrylic board is mounted with standoffs. The silver panel is flush-mounted to the wall. This combination results in a visually compelling shadow display.
For the building sign, we designed, fabricated, and installed halo-lit channel letters. The client requested that we paint the reverse-pan channel letters (RPCs) in duranodic bronze. This color gives the letters an anodized metallic finish that perfectly fits the architectural elements of the façade. For illumination, we used white LEDs. After stud-mounting the individual letters with standoffs, they create a narrowly defined halo that bathes the sign as a whole in lighting.
The combination of both signs work together to create a contemporary look and feel for the company. Most importantly, it is part of the brand story, which ushers visitors into the building and then continues as they enter the suite. You will also notice that both signs – even though we used different materials and production methods – have a cohesive brand presentation.
Pairing Building and Lobby Signs
We frequently work with business clients who commission their building and lobby signs at the same time. Because these two products are instrumental in the start and continuation of a brand conversation, it is essential to put them in place first. Mixed media lobby signs and halo-lit channel letters are popular choices. However, they are not the only options.
For example, consider the installation of a lightbox cabinet that focuses the consumer’s attention on your corporate identity but also a tagline or jingle. Repeating this information on a lobby logo board is an excellent branding tool. You might also select non-illuminated three-dimensional letters for the building that you can then repeat in the lobby setting.
