Our team returned to the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School. In the past, we assisted the friendly folks with reverse pan letters and flat-cut aluminum address letters. For this project, we designed, fabricated, and installed two custom bronze dedication plaques in Phoenix, AZ.
Bronze Plaques Memorialize St. Joseph and Fr. Joseph Haley
The client had received a donation of a statue of Saint Joseph. Our team put up a cast plaque with the text, “St. Joseph, pray for us.” It has an attractive, polished frame and three-dimensional letters that stand out from a black sand background.
The second bronze plaque honors Fr. Joseph Haley, after whom the school named its soccer field. This cast plaque includes likenesses of the statue and Fr. Haley. The letters are three-dimensional, making them easy to read. We placed the 3D letters against a black sand backdrop, just as we did with the dedication plaque.
These plaques make lovely additions to the school’s exterior and will last for a long time.
Interested in Custom Bronze Plaques? You Have Options!
A bronze dedication plaque is elegant and beautiful and can last a lifetime—or longer. How do you want your plaque to look?
- Borders. Most clients like the idea of having a border surrounding their message. Opt for a single-line border, which our client favored, or choose from a variety of double lines along with various bevel options. If you prefer, we can customize a border with symbols or geometric shapes. Typically, these borders work very well on precision-tooled bronze plaques.
- Background. Do you remember our mentioning a black sand backdrop? It sets the stage for the 3D letters and helps them to stand out even more. However, you might also select leatherette, stipple, or pebble backdrops.
- Font. A favorite is the Times New Roman font. It is easy to read, looks attractive, and will be popular decades from now. That said, depending on their function, you have plenty of other choices. Examples include calligraphy, which gives the product a sophisticated look.
Besides these design options, there are more decisions to make. For example, do you want a standard brushed finish, or do you prefer a polished look? For bronze, in particular, you might also select artificial patinas that make the product look like it had been in place for a century. Remember also to think through your installation choices.
The client requested that their custom bronze dedication plaques in Phoenix, AZ, be installed using a blind mount. Other options include several wall mounts allowing for the addition of decorative rosettes. What could your plaque look like? With so many options, discussing your design with our graphic artist makes sense. Call us today to schedule a design appointment!
