Part of what we love about our job is the relationships we develop with local business owners. This is particularly true when it comes to Someburros authentic Mexican restaurant. They recently underwent a rebranding project and wanted our help. We were thrilled to be of assistance.
A Little about Someburros
In 1972, Isabel and Euseuvio Vasquez opened their first restaurant, Poncho’s in South Phoenix. They garnered a loyal following serving Mexican food faithfully prepared in accordance with their time-tested and authentic family recipes. In 1986, Isabel and Euseuvio’s son George opened the first Someburros, serving the same beloved dishes in a family friendly, fast-casual environment.
Since then, George’s children: Tim, Mary, and Jennilyn have taken over the daily operations at Someburros and have seen the franchise spread across the valley. Someburros has gained the affection of loyal diners who come back generation after generation to enjoy the unique combination of authentic cuisine, convenience, and the inviting atmosphere that the restaurant offers.
Someburros Is Committed to the Valley
Someburros has grown steadily over the years and currently boasts seven locations in Flagstaff, Chandler, Scottsdale, two in Gilbert, and two locations in Tempe, including a taco stand in Sun Devil Stadium open for all home Arizona State football games. They also have a new location in the works in Queen Creek that is set to open this summer. In addition to their Someburros locations, the family still operates the original Poncho’s and has recently opened a more upscale restaurant, Isabel’s Amor, named for their matriarch and original provider of the famous family recipes.
Since its arrival in the valley, Someburros has become a beloved staple of the community serving over 9.5 million burritos and raising more than $1 million for charities. Someburros and Spotlight Signs and Imaging Solutions have enjoyed a close and productive relationship since Spotlight opened its doors in October 2013. Company President Tim Vasquez knows that he can count on Spotlight Signs for the many signage needs that regularly pop up in the course of operating his nine restaurants.
Rebranding Signs for Restaurants
Since the fall of 2013, Spotlight Signs has addressed a wide range of the company’s signage needs including interior menu signs, lobby signs, vinyl window graphics, wall graphics, building signs, and company van vehicle wraps.
Most recently, Spotlight Signs and Imaging Solutions played an important role in Someburros’ comprehensive and companywide rebranding, their first significant revamp in 12 years. Once an updated logo and color scheme was decided upon, Tim and his team faced the task of updating their vast and varied signage to reflect the new design. Spotlight Signs and Imaging Solutions simplified this undertaking for Someburros, providing a single source for familiar and reliable service that could address much of the work the rebranding required.
We Provided Someburros with a Full Complement of Signs
Spotlight Signs and Imaging Solutions has installed rebranding signs for restaurants featuring:

With their sustained success and status as a Phoenix area staple, Someburros has proven to have the ability to adapt and consistently deliver quality service. Their rebranding process is a great illustration of their strength as a company. They identified an area that could be improved, worked to achieve a well thought out and impactful design, and systematically went about implementing it thoroughly. Spotlight Signs and Imaging Solutions was well equipped to assist Someburros in the process and it proved to be another success in the two businesses’ long and fruitful relationship.
