Initially, our long-time client set up its Taco & Tequila Terrace at Salt River Fields. We assisted with designing, fabricating, and installing wall wraps, reverse pan channel letters, and murals.
The Arizona Diamondbacks continued to build their partnership with “Arizona’s Most Loved Mexican Restaurant.” The client expanded to Chase Field, the home of the D-backs. When you consider that three generations of Someburros’ Vasquez family members not only served Nana Isabel’s tasty dishes but also played baseball, this connection was fated to happen.

Few AZ signs are as visible in a crowded setting as illuminated channel letters. For this project, our team fabricated and installed letters in the iconic Someburros font and color palette. Not only does this sign get attention, but it also serves as a beacon for hungry fans. Besides the illumination, the three-dimensional construction makes the sign stand out among other concessions at the facility.
Choosing a Channel Letter Design
There are three custom channel letter sign designs that clients choose from: front-lit, reverse-lit, and front and back-lit lettering. The difference between these designs involves the LEDs. Front-lit channel letters allow the illumination to shine from translucent fronts. It is an excellent way of emphasizing your company’s color palette. Reverse-lit channel letters let the light escape through the back and reflect off the wall. It envelops the lettering in a halo, which can be an elegant way of presenting your branding.
For these letters, the faces are opaque, and the backs are closed off with translucent acrylic. When you prefer a combination of the two, we add LEDs, frequently incorporate tinted lights, and give you the opportunity to enjoy the best of both options. Of course, you lose a little of the halo’s sophisticated allure because it now has to double up with the powerful front-lit display.
