Earlier, our team assisted ALKEME Insurance with a 3D letter building sign. At the time, we discussed the advantages of three-dimensional building letters. This time, we collaborated with the client on a set of dimensional letter signs for the reception and conference rooms in Scottsdale, AZ.
The Appeal of Dimensional Letters for Interior Signs
You already knew that the client preferred 3D letters for its branding. However, did you also know that many businesses often use 3D letter signs in their reception areas and conference rooms, even when they opt for different types of building signs? What drives the appeal of 3D signs?
- A contemporary look. 3D signs immediately create a polished and high-end look. They convey that the company is established, professional, and pays attention to detail—traits that build trust with visitors and customers. They also enable a contemporary display that resonates with today’s consumers.
- Brand building and reinforcement. Raised letters make a company’s name or logo more noticeable and memorable. In reception areas, the sign becomes the visual centerpiece, reinforcing brand identity for everyone who walks in. Taking this signage setup to conference rooms extends the reach of the brand story.
- Depth and dimension. Flat signs can appear less engaging, while 3D lettering adds depth, making the signage more visually dynamic and easier to read from various angles and under different lighting conditions. Because the letters appear to jut out from the wall, they immediately grab attention.
Case Study: ALKEME Insurance
Following the successful building sign project, we designed, produced, and installed three dimensional signs throughout the office. While 3D signs can be made from various materials such as metal, acrylic, or plastic and customized in color, finish, and mounting style to match the company’s branding and interior design, this client opted for a three-quarter-inch-thick Gatorfoam.
Our technicians explored two different color schemes with back-painted acrylic faces. Against a white wall, we used a black tone, whereas against a blue backdrop, our technicians painted the lettering white. These bold, well-designed 3D signs in the conference room and reception area create a lasting impression on customers, investors, and partners.
