When Dave Johnson and Tom Russell founded Pacific in the 1980s, they could not have known that they would eventually farm 25,000 acres of land. To support its growth, the company operates out of its offices. Recently, the client hired our shop to design, produce, and install a modern business lobby sign in Scottsdale, AZ.
3D Lobby Signs Encapsulate a Contemporary Atmosphere
The client wanted a front office sign that would be modern, brand-centric, and an attention-getter. We suggested using Gatorfoam, which is quickly becoming a favorite among our clients. They liked what they saw, and we continued to fabricate a 3D letter sign using half-inch-thick Gatorfoam.
With the letters cut following the company’s font specification, our technicians painted the faces and sides black. For the logo portion, we overlaid the foam with a full-color print of the corporate symbol. Interestingly, when we did a site survey for the measurements, we learned that we had to work around a capped outlet. No problem!
Once the letters were painted and the logo portion treated with colorful imprints, we installed the pieces flush to the wall. We were able to work around the outlet with ease. The finished product looks chic, fits in perfectly with the modern design of the office, and supports the brand message.
Three-Dimensional Letter Lobby Signs
You could take a page from Pacific International Marketing’s playbook and opt for Gatorfoam as your material of choice. We can use half-inch or one-inch foam that we cut into the desired shapes. Moreover, we can paint the pieces, apply metallic or acrylic laminates, and add imprinted vinyl overlays. The latter is a great option when you favor gradient color changes.
Of course, there are other options, too.
- Materials. In addition to Gatorfoam, we make lobby signs using acrylic, a variety of metals, and PVC. We ensure complete material customization to feature your font and color palette. Moreover, you can choose the sizing, including the depths.
- Display styles. Another choice to consider is between three-dimensional letters or a logo board. As a general rule of thumb, logo boards are great for smaller walls, while 3D letters can help make a long wall visually easier to perceive. That said, logo boards can also be ideal if your corporate persona displays in front of your symbol.
- Installation choices. Flush mounts are the most commonly selected installation methods. Another alternative involves stand-offs. In the case of panels, some clients have asked for airplane cables, which have a contemporary flair.
