The McDowell Mountain Church welcomes worshipers at 10700 North 124th Street. The Bible-based faith community hosts families, current, and future members to join them for multi-generational services. Separate children’s programming is part of the fun. To make it easier for first-time guests and newcomers to the building to find their way around, the church committee connected with our sign shop to design, produce, and install one of our interior and exterior sign packages for churches in Scottsdale, AZ.
Why Choose a Sign Package?
Many clients like to sit down with our graphic artist to design various signage products that tell an ongoing brand story. Moreover, they want the convenience of having the signs put in place at one time, which boosts the consumer’s interaction with the brand at the location. Other clients like the idea of having all signs done at the same time to guarantee a complete color match between the products.
McDowell Mountain Church Relies on Signage to Make People Feel Welcomed
It can be stressful to enter a community where bonds have already been forged. In fact, it may be one reason why some people hesitate to visit a church. Because the committee is aware of this potential anxiety, it has worked diligently on removing obstacles. The signage products focus on making adults and children feel welcomed.
Wall murals. Treating the sizeable white wall spaces was an excellent method for the integration of bold colors. Round shapes stand out and set the tone for the visitor through guiding messages that reveal the congregation’s philosophy. We also placed motivational messages on other walls to encourage members to grow in their faith. Another use for vinyl wall graphics was the directory we put on one wall. It shows visitors the locations for the most sought-after destinations.
Directional signs. Post and panel signage directs traffic. Because it gets busy on Sundays with multiple services, it was critical to direct drivers and prevent bottlenecks. The signs show the locations of the typical destinations on a given service day. Another post and panel sign alerts motorists to the church property’s presence, which makes wayfinding a snap.
Dimensional letters. The committee wanted to ensure that guests would feel comfortable making connections. Rather than merely labeling a door, it asked us to use large dimensional letters that spell out the word “Connect.” We mounted it sideways to have a contemporary look and feel the congregation favors.
Acrylic prints. We placed these prints on the fronts of the host desks the community uses to greet visitors. They offer a warm welcome message that encourages first-time guests to make a personal connection upon entering. A second acrylic print identifies the Student Life Ministry. We mounted it with standoffs at the entrance to the venue.
