Li-Cycle recently relocated to two warehouse locations in Gilbert and Mesa. The company’s management team reached out to Spotlight Signs and Imaging Solutions to help brand the business as well as provide directional and warehouse signage. The client asked us to handle both projects involving directional and warehouse signage in Gilbert and Mesa.
Determining the Scope of the Project
The business focuses on closed-loop resource recovery, logistics management, and the secure destruction of sensitive products. It was imperative that the signage would encapsulate the brand narrative that the client has carefully cultivated. We did site surveys of both locations, took measurements, and discussed the project’s scope with the client.
Designing, Producing, and Installing the Interior Signage Suite
- Window graphics. The customer’s first interaction with the client’s brand message is at the front entrance, where we customized two-door window graphics. They are white and installed at average eye height.
- Lobby sign. The client specified the use of Gatorfoam for the fabrication of the dimensional lobby sign. It accommodates the desire for 3D letters and is fully customizable with paint and overlays. For the logo portion, we imprinted a vinyl overlay to present the intricacies of the design with complete accuracy. Look closely, and you will notice that our technicians perfectly matched the custom color.
- Privacy window film. Privacy is a concern with conference rooms that have floor-to-ceiling glass walls. Because it is a popular design style at this time, many clients struggle with it. We offer privacy frosted and etched vinyl. Li-Cycle requested that we brand the vinyl with a logo display. We imprinted it with custom-color-matched graphics.
Helping Visitors to the Location with Exterior Wayfinding Signs
For the exterior, we customized the warehouse dock bay door signage. Technicians imprinted durable aluminum with the blue and white colors that bespeak the brand. They are clearly visible from a distance, making it easy for first-time visitors to navigate the unknown venues. We flush-mounted the signs above doors and on walls.
Other parts of the directional signage around the client’s Mesa location for shipping and receiving feature bay numbers. We used high-contrast colors that make the numerals easy to see during the day and after dark. Another signage solution e created was a post and panel sign with white lettering on the custom blue background. An arrow assists with directional information.
Customization of the Project Meets the Unique Needs of the Locations
Li-Cycle is an ideal example of the level of customization that signage design at Spotlight Signs and Imaging Solutions undergoes. The directional and warehouse signage in Mesa and Gilbert had to be adjusted for the makeup of the locations. Examples include the color palette of the venues, the setup of the properties, and how visitors enter the property.
