When Killzone Pest Control first added custom-cut vehicle graphics to its vehicles, the decals were effective and suitable. However, in March, the company rebranded and updated its logo to include bold colors and eye-catching font. Then, when the business picked up its latest work truck, the management team asked us to handle the graphics treatment that would turn heads.
A Black Ford Maverick Work Truck Gets a Visual Makeover
The client provided us with the specs for the new logo. They included the font, color palette, and spacing. At the shop, we adjusted the graphics to suit the truck’s size, printed the images, and then prepared the vehicle for installation. With the products in hand, our specialists mounted the lettering and numerals along the truck’s sides.
For the tailgate, we repeated the information but used smaller sizes for the lettering. That said, you will notice that we kept the numerals identifying the phone number the same size. It is a clever way of drawing the customer’s attention to the contact information. Now, when this truck is on the road, it does an excellent job at getting attention in the East Valley and making it easy for prospective customers to take down Killzone Pest Control’s phone number.
Do You Have to Rewrap Fleet Vehicles after Rebranding?
There are two answers to this question. If your graphics product focuses primarily on the contact information, there is not typically a need to rewrap fleet vehicles after changing your logo. However, there are three times when making changes to existing wraps would be in your company’s best interest.
- Change of a product or service. If the client had shifted focus away from welcoming pest control calls and instead focused on beehive removal, it would be in the firm’s best interest to update its other fleet vehicles. The same goes for a company that no longer represents a specific manufacturer, even though they are co-branding with this firm on a vehicle wrap.
- Changes to a tagline. Killzone’s tagline remanded the same. However, if the motto had changed, it would be imperative to make the switch on existing wraps. When an element is no longer part of a brand identity, it is confusing to feature it still.
- Material changes. Of course, if you change your name, contact information, or the scope of your business, it is critical to adapt all vehicle wraps and graphics products to reflect the new brand identity.
Suppose you determine that your newly rebranded vehicle can work next to your fleet featuring the older version of your corporate identity. In that case, it can create an interesting effect that will have consumers do a double-take when they see your vehicles.
