Our team returned to Highland High School. Previously, we had put together a Gilbert Public Schools District sign for high school athletics. Now, the school asked us to return for another sign.
Recognition and Motivation for Student Athletes
For the earlier project, the school’s administration asked us to replace an old track and field records sign that was heavily sun damaged. Our team designed a high school athletics sign that would do very well in full sun for years to come. We started with a 3mm-thick aluminum composite backer panel and added 6mm-thick aluminum name plates. Our installer used metal standoffs to mount the panel.
Now, the school’s cross-country coach is retiring, but before he leaves, he wants to see his students represented with their records. Our team used the brand specs on file from the previous project and designed an athletics department sign that fits perfectly with the existing signage. Highlighting records and standout athletes motivates current students and recognizes hard work. Doing so encourages excellence because public recognition drives student-athletes to perform better and maintain discipline.
Public High School Athletics Signs Benefit the Schools and the District
Displaying signs for a high school athletics department offers a range of benefits for the school, student-athletes, and the school district as a whole. For starters, there is a boost for school spirit and pride. Recognition with signs featuring team names, mascots, or slogans helps foster pride among students, staff, and alums. Additionally, this recognition encourages student participation, and more students may want to get involved in sports.
Besides that, there are branding and visibility opportunities. Whenever you add an athletic department or other Gilbert Public School District sign, you add to the district’s consistent image. It also helps develop a cohesive visual identity for a school’s athletics program. Moreover, when you want to add high-performing student-athletes to your roster, having the right types of signs on campus or at events can attract attention from these prospective students.
Other School District Signs to Consider
Athletic signs create shared support for local teams. Visible signage also encourages families and residents to attend games and events. However, your facility may also need other school signs.
Facility wayfinding signs help visitors find gyms, stadiums, or fields more easily. They are also instrumental when new students enter the school and feel overwhelmed by the campus’ size. Our team can also help you with temporary event management signage to improve the experience for spectators and participants.
Banners, wall graphics, and similar high school athletic signs could boost your fundraising efforts. Local businesses that support your athletics program appreciate signage as a public acknowledgment. Moreover, professional-looking signs on campus enhance the athletic department’s credibility, which can encourage more donations and partnerships.
