Now located at 1307 East Southern Avenue, SWIFT has served customers since 2012 with stunning, functional landscapes that become extensions of interior living spaces. The client asked our team to design, produce, and install acrylic building letters for the Mesa building.
Acrylic Letters are Ideal for Outdoor Signs
When considering acrylic 3D building letters for a business sign, we usually discuss several material and branding aspects with our clients. For example, did you know that acrylic is a type of lightweight plastic that mimics the great looks of glass but without the brittleness? That said, it is weather-resistant and has a glass-like shine.
Most importantly, acrylic is available in many colors, including clear, frosted, and metallic finishes. Of course, our technicians can also paint it to suit your branding. For SWIFT, we painted the faces and returns matte black for a brand-centric approach.
Customizing the 3D Acrylic Letter Sign
With the color palette decided, it was now time to determine the other customization options.
- Font and size. We worked with the specs the client provided us, which allowed us to choose the right font for branding. Moreover, we conducted a site survey that assisted our technicians with determining the proper size of the letters for the building’s height and width.
- Thickness. Three-dimensional acrylic letters are available in varying thicknesses, ranging from 1/8″ to 1″. SWIFT requested half-inch-thick laser-cut acrylic letters.
- Installation options. Our client requested a stud-mounted flush installation. Other clients have asked for three-dimensional building letters to be standoff mounted, which creates a space between the letter and the wall, or raceway mounts.
You might also choose illumination as one of the customization options!
Which 3D Building Letters are Right for Your Taste, Budget, and Branding Need?
You already know that 3D letters create depth and shadow, which add a premium, professional look. Laser-cut acrylic’s clean lines are eye-catching, which boosts curb appeal. However, they are not your only options. If you are unsure that acrylic building letters are what your Mesa business needs, consider metal letters like aluminum or stainless steel. Outdoor-rated sign foam is also an option that many clients like.
Your cost depends primarily on the material selection, size, thickness, integration of optional LED lighting, and installation method. By the way, as we did for SWIFT, we gladly assist you with permitting the signage, which ensures compliance with your local zoning laws and signage codes.
