The client asked us to outfit the entire building with brand-centric signage, just as we had done for its Arizona locations. We put together wall murals telling the company’s story as a timeline, graphics for a staircase, dimensional letters for the lobby, and acrylic prints showcasing the client’s locations around the globe. Additionally, we prepared plaques for the mission, vision, and values statements.
The Challenges of an Interstate Project (and how to resolve them)
When working with the client on local projects, our team can visit the site, take measurements, and note areas that may be challenging. For wall wraps, we conduct tests to determine which type of vinyl to use. Most importantly, after designing and fabricating the products, we send our installers to the site to mount the items.
When making the products here and sending them to California, we obviously could not do these things. However, since this is not the first time we have done signs for a location outside our service area, we have developed workarounds.
- Technology. Software exists that now lets us measure dimensions with simple data input. It allows us to design signs ideally suited to the space. They are neither too large nor too small.
- Professional relationships. For the installation, we can refer our clients to vetted, reputable sign shops in the area.
- Instructions. For clients who work with their own teams of installers, we provide detailed instructions, supply lists, and templates for mounting signage. We include all necessary hardware, making the process easy.
