Branding and Advertising With Reverse Pan Channel Letters in Peoria

Facets of Arizona is a member of the Hajoca family of brands. The company focuses on faucets and fixtures and displays them in a showroom setting. The newest location is opening in the Park West Shopping Plaza.

Before welcoming new customers, the client needed illuminated building signs. We designed reverse pan channel letters that spell out the company’s name. A separate set of lightbox cabinets displays the logo and tagline. Notice that the color combination perfectly matches the facade’s color palette.

Reverse Pan Channel Letters vs. Other Types of Illuminated Building Signs

We have previously explained what reverse pan channel letters are. Moreover, we explored why more and more business owners are favoring halo-illuminated reverse-pan channel letters. Today, we want to focus on the pros and cons of reverse channel letters when compared with front-lit alternatives.

Pros of Halo-Lit Letters

The soft glow that envelops each letter gives the sign a refined, premium appearance. Since the actual letters become silhouettes after dark, they are easy to read, particularly when mounted to a neutral color background. During the day, reverse-pan channel letters mimic the clean lines of a dimensional metal letter sign.

Trade-Offs of Reverse Channel Letters

Halo-illuminated letters lack the long-distance visibility of their front-lit counterparts. Moreover, the reverse lighting works best on light-colored, smooth walls. If the walls are dark or uneven, the halo lighting will not reflect to its full potential.

Comparing Reverse Pan Channel Letters to Other Illuminated Signs

  • Front-lit vs. reverse-lit. Depending on the setting, front-lit lettering can appear somewhat harsh, potentially causing glare. Additionally, the reverse-lit setup has unofficially become the standard for premium brand displays.
  • Front and back-lit letters. This construction offers the best of both worlds. However, in some cases, you may encounter a light spill that undermines the halo’s good looks.
  • Neon letters. You will be hard-pressed to find neon signs because they are expensive and fragile. However, they look fantastic when your brand embraces an artistic or retro look.
  • Sign cabinets. These budget-friendly signage solutions are front-lit. We use imprinted acrylic or polycarbonate panels to present your branding. Although practical, they require special considerations when aiming for architectural integration.
  • External light sources. Spotlights that illuminate 3D letters are popular because they require no extensive wiring. However, remember that this lighting may be less even or dramatic, which is what makes halo-lit channel letters truly shine.
