More and more businesses doing work on their properties put up construction barricade graphics in Phoenix, AZ. Why? Check out the recent project we undertook for Clune Construction, and the investment in temporary vinyl graphics quickly makes sense.
What are Construction Barricades?
In the past, construction barricades were movable signage used to stop foot traffic around an area where work was ongoing. Today, construction barriers obscure the view into active sites, with temporary graphics facing passersby.
Clune Construction recently asked us to design, produce, and install barricade graphics in Chandler. (Before this project, we had already collaborated with Clune on interior office signs and business as well as lobby signage.)
For this project, our client had already set up the barriers. However, the blank plywood did not look nice, so we designed our temporary barricade graphics to fix this problem. In addition to showcasing pleasing office scenery, we created the images to give the illusion of spacious rooms and hallways. These floor-to-ceiling graphics completely change the look and feel of the construction area and narrow walkway.
Businesses Use Temporary Barricade Graphics to Boost Brand Visibility
While construction is underway, your business is hidden. Prospective customers do not know which company will do business at the location. Barricade graphics keep your brand visible to foot and vehicle traffic. You might even build anticipation with messages like “Coming Soon” or “New Look Launching Soon.”
Communities Welcome Graphics Showcasing What is Coming as a Beautification Tool
Like many other cities, Phoenix has regulations that encourage clean and visually appealing construction sites. Temporary graphics improve the appearance of otherwise unsightly plywood or fencing. Additionally, carefully selected images can maintain the area’s aesthetic and reduce visual clutter. Malls typically call for this type of beautification while build-outs are ongoing.
Assist Passersby by Communicating Directions and Safety Notices
Besides branding, marketing, and beautifying an area, barricade graphics can take on practical functions, such as providing clear directions for pedestrians when construction makes the walkways somewhat confusing. Lettering and symbols also allow for safety warnings or notices of detours. Some companies have begun to post construction schedules.
